Microneedling

SkinPen Precision Elite treatment kit, including a blue box labeled SkinPen, a small tube of SkinFuse, and a blue and white SkinPen device in a charging stand

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a clinically proven treatment that stimulates your skin’s natural healing process to improve texture, smooth fine lines, reduce scarring, and enhance overall tone. Using controlled micro-injuries delivered to the surface of the skin, microneedling triggers collagen and elastin production for gradual, long-lasting rejuvenation.

This treatment is ideal for clients looking to refine their skin quality with minimal downtime and natural, progressive results.

Enhance Your Results with PRP

Boost your microneedling treatment by adding platelet-rich plasma (PRP), a concentrated blend of your own platelets and growth factors that supports faster healing and stronger collagen stimulation. When applied during microneedling, PRP absorbs deeply into the microchannels to improve brightness, texture, and overall rejuvenation.

Many clients choose this combination to address under-eye crepiness, early volume loss, acne scarring, fine lines, and general skin dullness.

Preparing for Your Microneedling Treatment

To ensure optimal results and support healthy healing, follow these guidelines before your appointment:

  • Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements for 7–10 days prior, including aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and ginkgo biloba (consult your physician before stopping prescribed medications)

  • Discontinue retinol, retinoids, and exfoliating acids (AHAs, BHAs) for 3–5 days before treatment

  • Avoid active breakouts, sunburn, or irritated skin on treatment day—reschedule if needed

  • Do not wax, use depilatory creams, or undergo laser treatments for at least one week prior

  • Arrive with a clean face, free of makeup or skincare products

  • Stay well-hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure and wear SPF 30+ daily in the week before treatment

  • Inform your provider of any active cold sores, infections, or recent illness

After Your Microneedling Treatment

Proper aftercare supports optimal healing and helps your collagen-building results develop fully:

  • Avoid touching or scratching treated areas for at least 24 hours

  • Keep your skin clean and moisturized using gentle, provider-approved products

  • Do not wear makeup for at least 24 hours (48 hours is ideal)

  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, hot tubs, or excessive sweating for 24–48 hours

  • Sleep with your head elevated for the first night to minimize swelling

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and wear SPF 30+ daily—sun protection is critical during healing

  • Do not use retinol, exfoliating acids, or active skincare ingredients for 5–7 days post-treatment

  • Avoid facials, chemical peels, or other aggressive treatments for at least two weeks

  • Stay well-hydrated and use a gentle, hydrating moisturizer multiple times daily

  • Do not pick, scratch, or peel any flaking skin—allow it to shed naturally

  • Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, or bodies of water for 48 hours

  • Contact your provider if you experience unusual redness, swelling, or signs of infection

Redness and mild sensitivity are normal for 1–2 days following treatment. Your skin may feel tight or dry as it heals. Results develop gradually over several weeks as collagen production increases.
