Preparing for Your PicoWay® Treatment

To ensure optimal safety and results, please follow these guidelines before your appointment:

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least two weeks prior

  • Discontinue retinol, exfoliating acids, and photosensitizing products 5–7 days before treatment

  • Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup or skincare products

  • Inform your provider of recent cosmetic procedures, active infections, or changes in medication

  • Stay well hydrated in the days leading up to treatment

After Your PicoWay® Treatment

Proper aftercare supports healing and enhances results:

  • Expect mild redness or warmth for several hours post-treatment

  • Avoid sun exposure and wear SPF 30+ daily

  • Use gentle, hydrating skincare for 3-5 days

  • Avoid retinol, exfoliants, or active ingredients until skin has fully settled

  • Do not pick or scratch treated areas, including tattoo sites

  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and excessive heat for 24-48 hours

  • Follow all post-treatment instructions provided by your provider

Pigment may darken temporarily before fading, and tattoo ink will gradually break down over a series of treatments.
