PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin)
Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is an advanced regenerative treatment that uses your own blood’s healing factors to improve under-eye hollowness, fine lines, texture, and overall skin quality. A small blood draw is spun at a controlled speed to create a concentrated layer of platelets, growth factors, and fibrin that stimulate collagen and support gradual, natural rejuvenation.
Compared to PRP, PRF contains a higher concentration of regenerative cells with no additives or anticoagulants. This allows for a slower release of growth factors and longer-lasting results.
PRF is commonly used for under-eye rejuvenation, tear trough support, fine line reduction, and overall skin revitalization. It can also be paired with filler or other treatments for enhanced results.Enhance Your Results with PRP
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) may be recommended alongside PRF to support early healing and enhance overall regenerative response. PRP delivers a concentrated release of growth factors that can complement PRF’s slower, sustained collagen stimulation.
When used together, PRP supports immediate tissue repair while PRF continues to improve texture, tone, and volume over time. This combination is often selected for clients seeking enhanced under-eye rejuvenation, improved skin quality, or accelerated recovery.
Your provider will determine whether PRP is appropriate based on your anatomy, goals, and treatment plan.
Preparing for Your PRF Treatment
To ensure optimal results and maximize the quality of your PRF, follow these guidelines before your appointment:
Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements for 7–10 days prior, including aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and ginkgo biloba (consult your physician before stopping prescribed medications)
Limit alcohol consumption for 24–48 hours before treatment
Stay well-hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment—drink plenty of water
Eat a healthy meal 1–2 hours before your appointment to ensure stable blood sugar
Arrive with a clean face, free of makeup or skincare products
Avoid smoking for at least 24 hours before treatment, as it can affect healing
Inform your provider of any active infections, recent illness, or skin conditions
After Your PRF Treatment
Proper aftercare supports optimal healing and helps your regenerative results develop fully:
Avoid touching, pressing, or massaging treated areas for 24–48 hours
Sleep with your head elevated for the first 1–2 nights to minimize swelling
Apply ice or a cold compress for 10–15 minutes at a time to reduce swelling (avoid direct pressure)
Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, hot tubs, or excessive heat for 24–48 hours
Skip makeup for at least 12–24 hours after treatment if possible
Refrain from consuming alcohol for 24 hours post-treatment
Avoid facials, facial massage, or aggressive skincare treatments for at least one week
Use gentle, hydrating skincare and avoid exfoliating or active ingredients (retinol, acids) for 3–5 days
Stay well-hydrated and maintain a nutrient-rich diet to support healing
Avoid direct sun exposure and wear SPF 30+ daily
Contact your provider if you experience unusual symptoms or have concerns
Mild swelling, redness, and tenderness are normal, especially in the under-eye area, and typically resolve within a few days. Results develop gradually as collagen production increases over the following weeks and months.
